NEW YORK – St. John’s Marissa Rizzi and Madison Morris have been named the BIG EAST Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. The Red Storm captured wins over Boston College and Georgia Southern over the weekend at the Madeira Beach Invitational. These awards are the first of the season for both Rizzi and Morris.
DePaul picked up wins against Texas Southern and Houston, while Georgetown beat Harvard and Brown. Villanova was victorious over Presbyterian, Florida A&M and Florida International.
