The St. John’s Red Storm (4-1) conclude nonconference play Tuesday evening in Queens against the Rider Broncs (0-1).
The Broncs were paused due to COVID and have played just one game this season, an 87-52 loss to Syracuse on December 5. Junior guard Dwight Murray was responsible for 20 of Rider’s 52 points. The Broncs ran into a similar issue as we’ve seen from other teams with COVID pauses this season, as they looked flat, disoriented, and as if they hadn’t had much time to practice this season.
The Red Storm were able to bounce back from their first loss of the season by picking up an 89-66 win over Stony Brook.
