NEW YORK – Six players from three BIG EAST institutions have been awarded All-America status by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday. Marquette junior Allie Barber received a second team selection, while Creighton senior Jaali Winters was chosen for the third team. Creighton senior Taryn Kloth and junior Madelyn Cole, along with Marquette sophomore Martha Konovodoff and St. John’s freshman Efrosini Alexakou all acquired honorable mention status.
Barber was also selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team this week and was named AVCA East Coast Region Player of the Year. She averaged 4.
