We’re down to just four teams in the Big East Tournament!
Following a big upset of the #1 Villanova Wildcats, the #8 Georgetown Hoyas return to the semifinals for the first time since 2015, when they fell to Xavier. Georgetown taking down Villanova largely came out of nowhere on Thursday. While the Wildcats are without Collin Gillespie and have Justin Moore limited with injuries, the prevailing thought was that Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Jermaine Samuels would still be enough for ‘Nova to prevail. Those two players scored 46 of Nova’s 71 points, but in the end, it simply wasn’t enough.
