NEW YORK – For the second year in a row, Providence guard Kris Dunn has earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year honors by a vote of the league's head coaches. The league also announced that Dunn's teammate, forward Ben Bentil, has been named BIG EAST Most Improved Player. Xavier's J.P. Macura has won the BIG EAST Sixth Man Award. Kellen Dunham of Butler has been selected for the BIG EAST Sportsmanship Award. The coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
