NEW YORK – Providence guard David Duke has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Connecticut forward Adama Sanogo has been tabbed BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Duke helped the Friars to a pair of victories. Sanogo contributed to a 1-1 week for the Huskies.

David Duke, Providence, G, Jr. – Duke led Providence to a 2-0 week by averaging 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals. The junior guard scored 17 points in a home win against Connecticut (70-59) when his seven-point spurt to start the second half gave PC the lead for good.
