The Providence Friars took down the Washington Huskies in the second of two 2K Classic games Thursday night at Madison Square Garden, 77-70.
Providence needed Rodney Bullock to step up his scoring punch, and he did just that. The Preseason All-Big East Second Team selection led the way with 17 points and 9 rebounds, even though his presence wasn’t felt down the stretch in the second half.
The first half wasn’t the prettiest of 20 minutes. The two teams combined for 23 turnovers (15 for UW, 8 for PC). The Friars struggled with the Huskies’ 2-3 zone for the first 11 minutes or so, but quickly began to take advantage of Husky turnovers.
