Providence picks up first Big East victory against Seton Hall

Led by freshman David Duke’s second-best career scoring game, the Providence Friars picked up their first win of Big East play Tuesday night with a 72-63 home victory over the Seton Hall Pirates.

Duke had 18 points and a team-high three three-pointers in the much-needed victory for the Friars.

Alpha Diallo was the only other Friar in double-figures, as he has been every game this year except one. He had 15 points and led the Friars with eight rebounds. The Friars let Diallo and Duke do their thing, and the rest of the team stuck to their roles and stayed out of the way.
