The Providence Friars walked into the 2017-18 season without forward Emmitt Holt. Holt, who transferred to Friartown last season, was out for the start of the year with an abdominal injury. That injury has kept him out of action for the first six games, and now, on Wednesday, news broke that Holt will not play again this season.
Kevin McNamara of the Providence Journal wrote Wednesday that Holt will not play this season for the Friars. The Friars confirmed the news in a release, also adding that he has taken a leave from the team for this semester.
