CHICAGO — Three players scored in double figures as Seton Hall erased the sting of a five-game losing streak with Saturday’s 66-42 victory over Xavier in Big East women’s tournament first round play at Wintrust Arena.
Guard Nicole Jimenez scored a game-high 16 points while Shadeen Samuels and Selena Philoxy each added 10 as the No. 7 seed Pirates (16-14) earned a berth in Sunday’s quarterfinals against second-seed and host DePaul.
Imani Partlow collected nine points as the 10th seed Musketeers bowed out with a 10-20 record and losses in 10 of their final 11 games.
