NEW YORK-- Marquette senior Natisha Hiedeman was selected as the 18th overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft on Wednesday night becoming the third player in program histroy to be drafted.
The Green Bay, Wis. native was picked by the Minnesota Lynx, but later traded to the Connecticut Sun. Hiedeman joins Abbie Willenborg (2000, Houston Comets) and Angel Robinson (2011, New York Liberty) as the only Golden Eagles to be drafted by the WNBA and at 18th overall is the highest pick in program history as well as the highest pick in the BIG EAST since conference realignment.
