MBB Minute -- Villanova, Marquette, Providence Notch Wednesday Wins

Fourth-ranked Villanova won a home game in an unusually intimate setting. Marquette set 3-point shooting records and Providence upped its winning streak to five games in Wednesday’s BIG EAST action.

Villanova, which is unable to play in the Pavilion this season because of renovations, played in its older campus home, the Jake Nevin Field House. In front of 2,200 fans – mostly students – the Wildcats (7-0) notched their 19th straight Philadelphia Big Five win, a 90-62 decision over Pennsylvania. Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 17 points and Phil Booth, Omari Spellman and Mikal Bridges each finished with 14 points.
