MBB Minute—The Season Begins
BIG EAST Basketball starts the 2016-17 season with six games Friday night, two on Saturday and two on Sunday.
Villanova, the reigning NCAA champion, begins its season at home against Lafayette at The Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. ET on FS2. Josh Hart was chosen Preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year and Kris Jenkins was an All-BIG EAST First Team unanimous selection.
Also at 6:30, Marquette embarks on its 100th season of basketball with a game against Vanderbilt in the Veterans Classic in Annapolis, Md. CBS Sports Network will carry the game.
