MBB Minute -- St. John's Improves to 6-0 for Best Start Since 2009-10

BIG EAST teams recorded a 3-0 Tuesday with St. John’s continuing its undefeated start while Providence and Marquette both improved to 5-2 with victories at home.

St. John’s is 6-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season after defeating Md.-Eastern Shore 85-64 at Carnesecca Arena. Sophomore transfer L.J. Figueroa continued to impress, recording game highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds for his second double-double of the year. Mustapha Heron added 20 points and nine boards.

Providence beat Fairleigh Dickinson 69-59 behind the customary production from Alpha Diallo. The junior guard had 20 points and nine rebounds.
