In Sunday action, Seton Hall’s Angel Delgado broke one of the BIG EAST’s longest standing records in a win in Chicago and Villanova survived a tough road test in Milwaukee.
Delgado needed only two rebounds at DePaul to pass Syracuse’s Derrick Coleman and become the league’s all-time rebound leader in conference games. He got the record early and went on to grab 19 rebounds – the most by a player in a BIG EAST game this season – in an 86-70 victory over the Blue Demons. Delgado’s rebound total stands at 719. He also scored 10 points to produce his 65th career double-double, which leads the nation.
