Seton Hall and Georgetown picked up road wins Wednesday night. DePaul almost made it 3-0 for the away teams before Villanova prevailed with a late rally.
Seton Hall trailed by 10 points with 12:16 left at Cintas Center before outscoring the Musketeers 34-14 the rest of the way in an 80-70 win. Guard Myles Powell shined with game highs of 25 points and eight assists. He shot 9-of-15 from the field and grabbed six rebounds. Xavier’s Paul Scruggs scored 22 points and center Zach Hankins finished with 20 points and six rebounds. Seton Hall is the first league team to be 2-0.
