In the lone game on Thursday night, the typically efficient Villanova Wildcats used a 22-4 run in the first half combined with a record-tying 19 3-pointers to defeat Creighton 98-78 at Wells Fargo Center.
All five Villanova starters reached double figures led by Mikal Bridges’ 21 points. Jalen Brunson had 19 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field and 4-of-5 from 3-point range. Donte DiVincenzo posted 17 points, six rebounds and five assists. Each Wildcat starter made at least three 3-pointers. Overall, Villanova (21-2, 8-1) shot 19-of-39 from beyond the arc. Four of the Wildcats’ eight BIG EAST wins have come by 20 points or more.
