In the new polls released on Monday afternoon, Marquette and Villanova remained 10th and 14th, respectively, in the Associated Press poll. In the USA Today poll, Marquette stayed ninth and Villanova moved up one position to 13th.
Home teams picked two victories on Sunday and lifted the home team record in league play to 27-20. Twenty of the 47 conference games have been decided by six points or less.
On Sunday, Villanova and Georgetown were tied 53-53 with 7:27 to play before the Wildcats put together a 16-2 run and nail down a 77-65 victory at Wells Fargo Center.
