MBB Minute -- Friars, Bluejays Move To 5-1; Hoyas Win On The Road

Providence and Creighton registered home victories on Saturday and improved to 5-1. Georgetown stayed unbeaten with a victory in its first road trip of the season.

Providence shot 59.3 percent from the field, including 10-of-18 from 3-point range, in an 86-66 victory over local rival Boston College. The Friars have won four in a row. Rodney Bullock led all scorers with 20 points. Alpha Diallo added 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor. Kyron Cartwright had 14 points and nine assists.

Creighton gained a 10-point lead by halftime against SIU-Edwardsville, then pulled away for a comfortable 103-66 victory.
