DePaul, after letting a late lead slip away in regulation, held Penn State to 0-for-6 shooting in overtime and recorded a 72-70 win. Max Strus led the Blue Demons with 21 points and nine rebounds. Jaylen Butz was a force inside with 15 points and 10 boards. Devin Gage added 14 points. DePaul is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2008-09.
Against visiting Ohio State, Creighton overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to take a four-point lead with 2:57 to go, but couldn’t hold on and lost 69-60.
