Creighton won its third game on the road this month against a ranked team when it took a 73-65 decision at No. 19 Marquette on Tuesday. The 15th-ranked Bluejays (21-6, 10-4) have won eight of their last nine games and moved into second place in the league standings, a half-game behind Seton Hall (10-3).
Trailing 32-22 at half, Marquette (17-8, 7-6) tied the game 38-38 before Creighton went on an 8-0 run to take a lead it would not relinquish. Ty-Shon Alexander paced the Bluejays with 22 points, five rebounds and four assists. Sacar Anim led the Golden Eagles (17-8, 7-6) with 18 points.
