Freshman Kamar Baldwin hit a 17-foot jumper with less than a second to play to lift Butler past Northwestern 70-68 in a Gavitt Tipoff Games contest at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Wednesday. His basket broke the 17th tie of the game. Baldwin finished with 11 points. Kelan Martin scored a team-high 22 points. Andrew Chrabascz added 13 points and seven rebounds. The Bulldogs were the only BIG EAST team in action on Wednesday. BIG EAST teams are 17-1. The Thursday schedule is a busy one with seven BIG EAST clubs in action.
