After jumping into the Associated Press poll at No. 18 earlier in the day, Butler finished a three-game road trip with a 68-59 victory at Utah on Monday. The Bulldogs handed the Utes their first loss of the season and their first home defeat to a non-league opponent in 33 games.
After building a 33-27 lead by halftime, Butler used a 9-0 spurt early in the second half to provide some cushion. The Bulldogs led by as many as 17 points. Kelan Martin led a balanced scoring attack with 18 points. Tyler Wideman was 6-of-6 from the field and finished with 15 points.
