Butler and DePaul became the first league teams to reach 10 wins with homecourt victories on Saturday. Georgetown, Villanova and Providence also picked up wins. Xavier and Seton Hall lost on the road.

Butler got its 10th win with a strong defensive effort, subduing Southern 66-41 at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Bulldogs held the Jaguars to 28 percent shooting from the field. Butler extended its non-conference home winning streak to 57 games. Bryce Golden led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points.
DePaul gained its 10th victory, beating Illinois-Chicago 86-65.
