NEW YORK – Marquette guard Markus Howard has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week after tying the league’s single game scoring record, setting the record for 3-pointers in a game and recording the conference’s two highest scoring totals this season. Georgetown guard Jahvon Blair was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after helping the Hoyas win their first league game of the season.
