NEW YORK – For the first time in BIG EAST history, two brothers have won the weekly men’s basketball honors in the same week. Marquette’s Sam Hauser has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Joey Hauser has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. The duo helped the Golden Eagles to a pair of victories.

Sam Hauser, Marquette, G-F, Jr. – Hauser averaged 28.0 points and 7.5 rebounds to lead Marquette to a 74-71 win at Georgetown and a 79-68 victory against Providence.
