Marquette’s big three leads Golden Eagles to overtime win in DC

If there’s one takeaway from Patrick Ewing’s first season as head coach of the Georgetown Hoyas, it’s that the Hoyas absolutely love overtime games. They have to, right? Their 90-86 overtime loss to Marquette on Monday night was Georgetown’s fifth overtime game of the season.

Unfortunately for the Hoyas, they’re now 1-4 in such games this year, this time thanks to Andrew Rowsey’s nine overtime points. Georgetown, as a whole, had eight points in the extra period.

Rowsey’s entire night was particularly impressive, as the senior guard tied teammate Sam Hauser with 28 points.
