The Marquette Golden Eagles began their stint in the 2017 Maui Invitational with a victory. The Golden Eagles can thank their 3-point shooting skills against the VCU Rams for the tally they made in the win column.
MU converted on 13 3-pointers in the 94-83 victory over VCU. That’s a season-high to this point, and the most they’ve made as a team since they hit 14 against the Creighton Bluejays in last year’s season finale.
The Golden Eagles were led by the efforts of Markus Howard, Sam Hauser, Andrew Rowsey and Haanif Cheatham.
