Marquette vs. Georgia final score: Golden Eagles grab big road victory

Following the disappointing trip to New York City a couple weeks back, everyone said Marquette had little room for error in their nonconference schedule going forward. The Golden Eagles took care of business against IUPUI, Houston Baptist, and Western Carolina by an average margin of 31 points.

On Sunday afternoon, Marquette took the court in Athens, Georgia to face an experienced Bulldogs squad. The Golden Eagles, on the back of strong three-point shooting, left Stegeman Coliseum with an 89-79 victory, arguably their second-biggest nonconference win under Steve Wojciechowski.

The Golden Eagles went into the half with a 46-43 lead thanks to eight of the ten three pointers they attempted found the net.
