For the first 20 minutes Wednesday evening in Milwaukee, Marquette fans had to be thinking “here we go again”.
Just two days after needing overtime to take down the Eastern Illinois Panthers, Marquette was letting the Chicago State Cougars hit shots and stay in the game throughout the first half. The Golden Eagles led by just eight at the break, 48-40.
The second half was much, much different. Led by Markus Howard’s ELEVEN THREE POINTERS, Marquette picked up a 95-69 victory. They also hit a school record 18 three pointers.
It was absolutely amazing to watch the entire performance, but Howard’s stands out above all.
