STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – After the first day of the 2017 BIG EAST Track & Field Championships Presented by Jeep, both the Marquette men and women are in the lead with 81.5 points on the women’s side and 50.0 points on the men’s side.
On the women’s side, Villanova is in second with 50.5 points, while St. John’s is in third with 33 points. For the men, Villanova is also behind Marquette with 42 points. Butler is in third with 39 points. Finals for Friday included the pole vault, weight throw and long jump, 5,000-meter run, Distance Medley Relay and women’s pentathlon.
