Behind 34 points from Markus Howard, Marquette celebrated a 91-81 victory over Vermont on Tuesday night.
Howard was electric again in Milwaukee, earning his second 30-point effort in his last three games. The showing comes a week or so after his 33-point night against the Chicago State Cougars. Howard went 6-11 from the 3-point line and 11-20 overall, and did not miss a single of his six free throw attempts. The super sophomore also added six boards, two assists and a steal, and only committed one turnover in 28 minutes.
