Creighton Bluejays guard Marcus Foster was named as an All-Big East First Teamer on Sunday and was quickly given another accolade on Tuesday. Foster is among five finalists vying for the 2017 Jerry West Award.
The award, handed out to the best shooting guard in the country, is presented by the Basketball Hall of Fame each year dating back to the 2014-15 season. Previous winners include D’Angelo Russell (Ohio State Buckeyes) and Buddy Hield (Oklahoma Sooners).
Among the competition for Foster for this award include some of the top players in the country.
