Georgetown forward Marcus Derrickson will forego his senior season and enter the NBA Draft, per a photo posted to Derrickson’s Instagram page. The 6-foot-7 forward will hire an agent.

Last season, Derrickson showed great improvement under first-year head coach Patrick Ewing, as the junior nearly doubled his scoring and rebounding averages, posting 15.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He was among the conference’s most dead-eye shooters, ranking second in 3-point field goal percentage (46.5 percent) and third in free throw percentage (86.3 percent). Derrickson also earned a spot on the All-Big East Second Team.
