Despite being outshot 21-13, Xavier scored its first BIG EAST win of the season, a 1-0 victory over Villanova on Saturday. Rachel Piccus and Toni Bizzarro each played a half in net for the Musketeers, making five and three saves, respectively. Samantha Dewey notched the game-winning goal in the 55th minute, burying an unassisted shot for her seventh of the season. Ida DiClemente had a game-high eight shots for Villanova, while Emily Harris made five saves. Nova and Xavier move into a three-way tie with Seton Hall in the standings, each with three points.
