Creighton draws No. 10 Georgetown while Butler, Marquette, Villanova and Xavier pick up Week 5 wins.
NEW YORK – BIG EAST women’s soccer conference play crossed the halfway point on Sunday as all 10 teams played their fifth league match. No. 10 Georgetown remained alone atop the standings despite Creighton pulling off its second draw at Shaw Field in the last three seasons. The four-way tie for second place entering Sunday was trimmed to two as Butler and Villanova won their home matches, while Xavier creeped up to fourth with a win over visiting Providence, which now sits in a three-way tie for fifth with DePaul and Marquette.
