The Red Storm scored a wire-to-wire win over visiting Butler on Friday night to halt a three-game skid in emphatic fashion. Qadashah Hoppie led all scorers with 16 points, including a 4-of-8 mark from deep, as the Johnnies shot over 55 percent from the field on the night while holding the Bulldogs to a 24-percent clip. Defense was the story for St. John’s, holding the BIG EAST’s No. 2 scorer Whitney Jennings to just seven points and No. 2 rebounder Tori Schickel to just four boards. Kristen Spolyar led Butler with 12 points.
