Selena Lott scored a game-high 27 points, passing the 1,000 mark for her career, as Marquette picked up a crucial road win at Villanova on Wednesday night. The Golden Eagles (10-2, 7-1 BIG EAST) entered the evening in a tie for second place in the BIG EAST standings with No. 17/20 DePaul at 6-1, with the win giving them the solo spot behind No. 3/4 UConn. Five Marquette players finished in double figures as the Golden Eagles shot .529 from the field – their fourth straight game of 50-percent shooting or better – and matched its season high for points in a game (95).
