Natisha Hiedeman posted a game-high 21 points as the nationally ranked Golden Eagles claimed a 91-52 home victory over South Dakota State on Tuesday afternoon. Allazia Blockton, the BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year, posted 19 points as the Golden Eagles (1-0) shot 52.3 percent (34-of-65) from the floor. MU was also 13-of-31 from 3-point range, which included five makes from Hiedeman and four from Isabelle Spingola, who ended with 14 points.
