Providence 56, Stetson 45
Providence defeated Stetson, 56-45, to claim the Savannah Invitational title with a 3-0 tournament record. Junior Jovana Nogic scored a game-high 18 points and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Senior Allegra Botteghi also was honored at the conclusion of play as a member of the All-Tournament Team. The Friars trailed 20-6 after the first quarter of play but narrowed the deficit to 27-20 at halftime. PC limited the Hatters to just 18 second-half points off 29-percent shooting while bumping its second-half clip to nearly 46 percent.
