The Hall's starting backcourt of JaQuan Jackson and LaTecia "TT" Smith combined for 37 points to power the Pirates. Seton Hall led Savannah State from wire-to-wire in the triumph, going up by 13 at the break and as many as 17 late in the fourth quarter. Jackson led all scorers with 21 points, while Smith added five rebounds and five steals to a 16-point outing. Seven different Pirates scored at least five points in the contest including four of The Hall's seven freshmen that saw action.

East Tennessee State 68, Butler 59
Butler outscored ETSU 20-12 in the third quarter to grab a lead, but the Buccaneers closed out the contest 29-18 in the fourth to secure the win.
