Villanova (17-12, 2-4 BIG EAST) gets back on the winning track on Tuesday afternoon with an 8-1 win at Penn (11-11, 2-2 Ivy League). The Wildcats scored two runs in the first inning and five runs in the third inning to jump out to a 7-0 lead, and the team added another run in the fifth inning. At the plate, Villanova was guided by Brittany Husk, who went 2-for-2 and collected three RBI and one run. In the circle, Brette Lawrence started the game and pitched three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits.
