Following their disheartening loss to local foe Northwestern on Saturday night, the DePaul Blue Demons needed a morale boost.
They got just that at the Rosemont Horizon on Tuesday night, as they defeated the Southland’s Lamar Cardinals by an 80-61 margin.
The Blue Demons grabbed an early lead and kept building upon it, which is something they haven’t done too often this season. Most of their games have had a back-and-forth aspect to them. This one didn’t. DePaul led for nearly 36 of the game’s 40 minutes, and led by as many as 26 at one point.
