Two former Big East basketball stars will now be playing for a new team after a blockbuster deal. The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly sending superstar forward Jimmy Butler along with center Justin Patton to the Philadelphia 76ers. The deal was first reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Minnesota has traded Jimmy Butler and Justin Patton to Philadelphia for Robert, Covington, Dario Saric and a 2022 second-round draft pick, league sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski.

Jerryd Bayless is also part of the deal, as Shams later added, as he will head from Philly to Minnesota.
