Jay Wright, Villanova Wildcats look to duplicate success in 2016-17 season

Fresh off an NCAA Tournament title, coach Jay Wright and the Villanova Wildcats will look to continue their success as they begin their title defense.

To say Jay Wright and the Villanova Wildcats had a successful season last year would be an understatement.

Wright's Wildcats finished 27-4 in the regular season, with all four losses coming at the hands of teams that were ranked at the time: Oklahoma, Virginia, Providence, and Xavier. For his efforts, the 54-year-old was named Naismith College Coach of the Year, marking the second time in his illustrious career that he won the award.
