The most celebrated player in Villanova Wildcats history has played his final game for the program. Jalen Brunson announced on Wednesday that he would be declaring for the NBA Draft and will hire an agent. The move to the pros was reported first by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Brunson also penned a letter to his teammates and the Villanova fanbase, thanking them for the support he’s gotten from them in the last three years.
This ends an era in which Villanova was one of the most successful programs in the country, if not the most successful.
