VILLANOVA, Pa. – No. 2 seed Georgetown defeated No. 1 seed Denver, 8-3, on Saturday at Villanova Stadium to win the 2018 BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Championship presented by Jeep. It is the first BIG EAST men’s lacrosse championship title for the Hoyas, which become the fourth different team to win the tournament title. GU senior goalkeeper Nick Marrocco won the Championship Most Outstanding Player honors, making 14 saves in the title game, 26 for the weekend.
