NEW YORK – Georgetown’s Symone Speech earns BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, the first for the Hoyas this season, while Creighton’s Brittany Witt is the Bluejay’s third consecutive BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week winner. St. John’s Efrosini Alexakou collects the Red Storm’s second Freshman of the Week accolade this season after the final weekend of non-conference tournaments. BIG EAST play will begin on Wednesday.
