WASHINGTON, D.C. – No. 1 seed Georgetown won its second consecutive BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Championship presented by Jeep on Sunday, topping No. 2 seed Butler 3-0 at Shaw Field in Washington, D.C. The Hoyas earn the BIG EAST’s automatic berth into the NCAA Championship, marking their sixth consecutive trip to the national tournament and eighth overall. Georgetown senior midfielder Rachel Corboz was tabbed BIG EAST Championship Most Outstanding Offensive Player while Elizabeth Wenger garnered Most Outstanding Defensive Player honors.
