The fourth-leading scorer in the Big East will lead his Georgetown Hoyas against the slumping Providence Friars. Averaging a hearty 19.2 points per game, Jessie Govan and the Hoyas will battle the Friars, who’ve gotten off to a skittish 0-2 start in Big East play this season.
The Hoyas are 1-2 meanwhile and have suffered two consecutive defeats. They lost in OT to the St. John’s Red Storm last Saturday, and followed that up with an 81-75 loss to the Xavier Musketeers earlier in the week.
The common thread for these games was that Georgetown had leads.
